Google Pay: Change UPI ID in Google Pay? Follow these steps

Google Pay UPI ID Transferring money has become very simple after the introduction of unified payments interface.

The number of people using Google Pay for UPI Payments is high. Google Pay is used everywhere from payments in the shop to money transfer.

Google Pay is one of the popular UPI apps in India. It is estimated that there are more than 15 crore Google Pay users in India. According to the National Payments Corporation of India, 2.73 billion transactions were done through Phone Pay in June, followed by Google Pay with 2.02 billion transactions. Paytm is third with 877.5 million transactions.

How to change UPI ID in Google Pay? There are doubts among users.

Creating and changing UPI ID is very easy. Normally, the UPI ID is generated when the Google Pay app is installed and registered.

Below listed steps to how to change Google Pay UPI ID.

  • First open the Google Pay app on your smartphone. Click on the profile picture in the top right of the home screen.
  • Then click on Bank Accounts. A list of bank accounts you have added will appear. Select the account for which you want to change UPI ID. Account details will open.
  • Click on Manage UPI IDs. You will see the UPI IDs created for your account so far. They can be deleted. Or click on + to create UPI ID.

Google Pay was first introduced in India under the name Tej. After that the name was changed to Google Pay.

Users can directly transfer money from one bank account to another bank account through Google Pay. Payments and money transfer can be done through UPI.
